New Schools to Open in Fairfield

Known for its two exemplary-rated elementary schools, outstanding amenities and impressive new home selection, Fairfield will soon be home to additional schools.

This fall, the community’s third elementary school will open, expanding educational opportunities for children living in Fairfield. Swenke Elementary School will open in August, 2009. The new elementary school is located on a 14-acre site located at Fairfield Place Drive and Schiel Road. The district’s 50th elementary school is designed by Bay Architects and is a new prototype design using design features from McFee Elementary School.

The school features a complementary unique design utilizing similar building materials and colors. Swenke Elementary will provide enrollment relief for Keith and Ault elementary schools. The school will be the seventh elementary campus and the last new facility funded from the 2004 Bond Referendum.

A middle school is also planned to open in Fairfield. A recent bond election has enabled the Cy-Fair ISD to construct the new middle school in Fairfield. Cy-Fair ISD has confirmed that the new middle school (#17) will open in 2011.
